Packed with bursts of colour and pattern, the lobby sets the tone for what’s to come. A highly functional storage unit for footwear, done up in ivory with brown accents, neatly incorporates a seating area. The wall opposite the entrance door is cladded with dynamic wall tiles in a graphic medley of patterns. The lovely, welcoming living room is elegant and warm all at once, beautifully crafted in a palette of white and gold. Thoughtfully placed yellow ceiling lights and a golden chandelier bring out the tonality in the gold tinted wallpaper and the marble backdrop to the entertainment centre.
The expansive TV unit maximises the potential of space, adding a simple, yet sophisticated vibe to this area. Floating shelves on either side allow for display of curated artefacts, while open shelves and drawers below hold entertainment and audio systems.
The crockery unit next to the dining area is encased in tinted glass that makes the space look bigger, adding practical and functional storage for crockery and collectibles. Every design element is carefully curated to blend quiet luxury with textured finishes, the whole elevated by the magic of cleverly conceptualised lighting.
The parallel kitchen is a vibrant tapestry of patterns, with a dazzling geometric tile backsplash grabbing eyeballs and commanding attention. The designers have extended the utility area into the kitchen, creating a more efficient workspace. To the far end, a large window floods the kitchen interior with light.
Deep drawers in high-gloss beige below the counter provide well-organised storage for larger pots and pans; while push-to-open cabinets in grey above the counter hold cooking essentials. On either side of the cooking hob and chimney, glass-fronted cabinets offer storage for cooking condiments and spice jars. The storage is taken all the way till the ceiling, maximising vertical space in the room — the loft cabinets done up in a pale grey that blends into the background. Floor-to-ceiling wardrobes are wrapped around the window in the centre of the master bedroom wall, maximising every square inch of storage in the room. A zesty shade of lime green in the borders and trims around the white wardrobe reflects the colours in the leafy wallpaper, lending a cohesive look to the decor.
One of the wardrobe shutters is fitted with a full-length mirror, allowing for last minute wardrobe fixes before stepping out! Rather than using plain white shutters, the designers have opted for subtle self patterned laminate that accentuates the playful and eclectic vibe of the room. The window seat offers a cosy spot to curl up with a book.
In the guest bedroom, a delightful paisley print in silver and white lines the walls, adding a touch of soft, understated elegance to the decor. Here, too, the wardrobe is designed to eke out every bit of available space, running along the length of the wall with a loft that continues above the door. Done up in patterned grey laminate contrasted against ivory, the storage unit is minimal and starkly functional, with a built-in dressing table and mirror tucked away to one side. The loft offers valuable extra storage that can be used to stow seasonal items like woollens for Bangalore’s chilly winters.
